Race weather was ideal, however, due to the many hills and higher elevation times were on average about a minute slow. Despite the hills we had a number of impressive performances and even a few PR's.
We are at a point in our season where our training cycle is going to result in some tired legs as we continue to train hard for our more important races later on in the championship portion of the season. I want to challenge the athletes to see each practice as an opportunity to add a layer of fitness and to trust that the hard work will pay off when we taper off our mileage in a few weeks.
Athletes need to ensure they are getting enought sleep (eight hours), eating well and taking a multivitamin, and stretching and icing to aid the recovery process.
There are two things you can control each day: your attitude and your effort. Bring the A game.
Go Titans!
